It all started when…

Danica Leanne (Ngāti Tuwharetoa) aspired to create a space that integrates values of environmental sustainability and mental wellness with offerings from Papatūānuku acting as a means to reconnect with her ancestral roots and own connection to nature, she also uses the knowledge gained through her own personal development to awhi others on their healing journey.

And so, the moemoeā for Kohi Botanical was born. 

Kohi means to collect or gather together; at our boutique, we gather the beauty of Papatūānuku and people together. We are more than a floral shop - Kohi Botanical is a space for others to explore the healing powers of nature through workshops which weave together the ancient traditions and art forms of Māori culture to improve health and well-being.

We aim to actively reduce our environmental impact through eco-friendly production and waste management. That means rejecting plastic wrap, chemical treatments and all other floral supplies harmful to the environment. Everything we use in-store is sourced within Aotearoa, New Zealand.
